2.0 By BTS

BTS returned to full group activity in 2026 after years of individual solo work and mandatory military service for all seven members. Arirang marked their long-awaited comeback, and “2.0” sits as the fifth track on the record, a project built around themes of identity, reunion, and resilience, all tied to the title’s nod to the traditional Korean folk song of the same name.

The track runs 2:49 or 2:50, depending on the platform, and was produced by hip hop hitmaker Mike WiLL Made-It, with additional writing credits from all seven members alongside Michael Len Williams, Charles Hinshaw, and Derrick Milano. It falls under a trap genre tag, giving BTS a harder, more contemporary sound compared to some of their earlier discography, described by critics as a genuine showcase of the group’s musical evolution over the years.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, member V described the song as representing who they are today after their solo journey, framing the track as a direct statement about where the group stands after years apart. That narrative, combined with the album’s massive commercial reception, debuting at number one in more than 25 countries, has kept “2.0” firmly in the conversation as fans continue exploring Arirang alongside the group’s ongoing world tour, which runs from April 2026 into March 2027.
