South African hip-hop heavyweight Nasty C explores a more relaxed and introspective side of his artistry on “Free,” a collaboration with Tellaman. Recognised for his lyrical confidence, distinctive flow, and ability to move comfortably between hard-hitting rap and melodic sounds, Nasty C continues to show his versatility through records that reveal different sides of his musical personality. Tellaman’s involvement brings an expressive vocal quality to the song, creating a natural meeting point between rap and contemporary R&B. Together, the artists approach “Free” with a sound that feels personal while remaining accessible to a wide range of listeners.

The mood of “Free” is shaped around the idea of liberation and finding room to breathe, both emotionally and mentally. Nasty C uses his verses to bring a direct perspective to the subject, while Tellaman adds melodic depth that softens the edges of the record. Their contrasting approaches give the collaboration a balanced feel, allowing the song to move between thoughtful moments and an enjoyable musical atmosphere. The production supports that balance with a polished contemporary sound, making the track suitable for listeners who appreciate South African hip-hop that draws inspiration from R&B and melodic songwriting without losing its rap foundation.

“Free” gives fans another opportunity to hear Nasty C and Tellaman combine their individual strengths on one record. Its themes of independence, emotional space, and personal freedom give the song substance beyond its catchy musical presentation. Whether you already follow Nasty C’s catalogue or are discovering this collaboration for the first time, the track is worth adding to your listening session. Listen to Nasty C ft.
